biography

Minibar are a British band who relocated to Los Angeles in 1999 after signing to Universal Records. Their debut album, “Road Movies” (2001) was produced by T Bone Burnett. This release opened the door to Minibar touring with the likes of The Wallflowers, Old 97’s, Wilco, Mother Hips and Teenage Fanclub.

Their second album, “Fly Below The Radar” (2003) came out on Foodchain Records, and was produced by tour mates  Rami Jaffee and Greg Richling from The Wallflowers along with Dusty Wakeman. In 2004 the band started backing up Pete Yorn and toured extensively for the release of “Desert After Rain” pulling double duty and opening up many of Pete’s shows. In 2008 the band effectively went on hiatus, with just the occasional live show over the past 15 years.

2023 sees the release of recently unearthed demo recordings made just before the band moved to the US, the Makeshift Darkroom E.P. produced again by Rami Jaffee.
